Many private HMOs require existing PhilHealth membership as a prerequisite for enrollment, making it a valuable addition to your healthcare coverage options.
The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) is a universal health coverage in the Philippines.
If you haven't yet, register to PhilHealth through their website or by visiting the nearest PhilHealth branch in your area.
How to Register Online
- Go to: **https://eregister.philhealth.gov.ph/**
- Click 'Proceed'
- Tick the checkbox to confirm that you understood the terms and click 'Accept'.
- Fill out the PhilHealth online application formNote: Single individuals may list the name of their parents who are aged 60 years or older as dependents. Married individuals may list their spouse and their children.
- Upload supporting documentsDocuments such as birth certificate, passport or driver’s license. Scan these documents and save as JPEG, PNG, GIF or PDF, then upload one by one.
- Submit and wait for the confirmation e-mail.
How to Register at a PhilHealth Branch
- Ask for two (2) PhilHealth Member Registration Forms and fill out all necessary details.
- This form is also downloadable in the website.
- Submit the form along with the following requirements:
- One (1) photocopy of NSO-issued Birth Certificate
- Valid identification cards (TIN ID, driver’s license, passport, or any document providing your or the applicant’s identity)
- Once completed, wait until the PhilHealth number is released by the authorized officer.
- Pay for the designated contribution for voluntary member
